... grew up in Brooklyn, New York and the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. So she's got that city edge, while still maintaining a nice, Midwestern grounded-ness.

... graduated from Northwestern University. There, she majored in Theater, with a Pre-Med concentration. The fear of destitution was strong. Somehow she came to grips with her path in life and dropped pre-med after 2 1/2 years of torture.

... studied with Nancy Wolfson on a total and absolute whim. Some guy recommended she go see her. After the first lesson, Tamar was hooked. Since then she's studied with the amazing Billy Holmes and David Lawrence for commercial training. For animation, she's studied with Bob Bergen and Susan Palyo, and taken more improvisation classes than she likes to admit. Currently, she's enrolled in Eliza Jane Schneider's Master Dialect Class, where she's perfecting a boatload of dialects. Ask to hear one!
